Grief

So I just got word recently that you're gone.
I heard you weren't ever coming back again.
It would have been nice to get a so long.
To let someone know this would be the end.
It came as a shock, I must admit.
This won't be easy for me to get past.
It would've seemed fair to at least gotten my consent.
It all just happened way too fast.
There's a lot of questions I need answers for.
A lot of things that are left undone.
One is what was it like to enter heavens doors?
From there can you now see what my life will become?
Did you see it in a dream the night before?
Did God show you how your life would end?
What about your family and all those you adore,
will you ever be able to see them again?
Was it something you did that was just so bad,
that the only consequence was to take your life?
Or was it all the good you did to make people glad,
that God finally decided to end your strife?
Answers to these questions and many more
I may never ever know.
But there's just one answer I'm begging for,
and it's: why did you have to go?

Very nice poem, very rich in meaning and feeling. Well done, the answers come in time, in many different ways.
