There's a place where lost things go
I'm sure that you would agree,
There's a place full of mismatched socks
And numbers of house and car keys.
There's a place full of homework,
Textbooks, earrings, and specs,
Full of favorite outfits,
I think we all suspect,
There's a place where all the socks go
When the dryer eats them in the night,
And there's a place that homework hides
When it's due and did it the night before at midnight,
There's a place in another
Dimension somewhere,
Full of thing-a-mi-jigs, whatcha-ma-call-its,
And your car key's spare.
There's a place full of lost pet toys,
Reports to hand in to the boss,
Apology notes, and birthday cards,
And anything else you might have "lost".
There's a place where lost things go,
It must be full up to the top,
But when I get lost and find my way there,
What do you want that you've lost?
