32 Souls And Counting

Contributed by JTS on Tuesday, 13th April 2004 @ 07:28:49 PM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

The soothing sounds of the winds brush over the land. The moon shines high above the tainted souls of this home we call earth. The scattered clouds float through the sky like the dreams of the ignorant waiting to be whisked away with the wind of reality. While the dreamers sleep in their bed I walk this dark earth “resolving” the earth’s cancers. Locked and loaded with memories of lost loves and consequences I search for those who plague us. Constantly my mind flashes through the pain and moral murders committed everyday by this cancer. My first cleansing was many years ago when I was forced to make my journeys. I knew she had nothing in her heart polluting me with fake emotions and placebos of love. Her constant lies and her influence of life and love strangled me. Her lies had finally caught up to her and my tolerance for her simple lies grew thin. She looked into my eyes and for the last time and lied. My prolonged anger overflowed above the rim of my soul and poured out onto her. I picked up the closest thing to me and held the metal crowbar high. And with all my might I placed it correctly in her head. She immediately fell to the ground empty of life. As I gazed upon her my rage burned to strongly for me to stop as I jumped onto the ground and beat her head in repeatedly until she was unrecognizable. There straddling her, covered in her poisons that use to flow through her veins, I picked up a piece of skull from the attack. I sat there admiring its beauty, stood up and sat on the hood of my car. I walked in my garaged and grabbed and piece of wire and a drill. I drilled a hole into the bone fragment and threaded it through the wire and tied it around my neck. She was my first cleansing. Ever since that date I have roamed this earth taking out all moral assassins and given them my own punishments. The unbelievers since then have labeled me, “Jack the Slayer.” I will continue to cleanse this earth of its cancers and viruses for as long as I live. 32 souls and counting.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
