Foot Prints

Contributed by JonDgreat on Tuesday, 13th April 2004 @ 01:47:51 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

A desert used to lie here,
Until I made myself an ocean.
With every drop of every tear.
It unexpectedly came in motion.

"..If she was true, she would of knew,"
The final phrase in my poem "tear drop"
Sometimes writing feels like the flu,
It hurts to and not to stop.

But I can't keep this bottled inside,
The poem written with emotion.
Emotion that I just can't bear to hide,
The truth of this ocean.

So I am placing you in this bottle,
You rhyme from this present time.
To remind someone of all this pain and trouble.
There's just a couple more steps to this ocean.

Before the last step I suddenly fall and hit my head,
My vision of foot prints fades while closing my eyes.
I then felt so cold I could been considered dead.
While the amnesia starts the memories dies.

The bottle starts to roll out of my hand,
Rolling and tumbling toward the ocean,
Through the deserts wavy sands,
To a soft drift in the ocean of all emotion.

As time goes by,
And the sun begins to hide.
The clouds lightly start to cry,
As I taste the evenings oceans tide.

My eyes slowly start opening,
The picture looks so very weird,
Looking through my own tear.
I saw something my darkest dreams feared.

I see the Mysterious past times all around me,
After I come out of my sleep.
And all the things I could see,
Seems to be filled with memories so deep.

Why do I see this ocean?
I should see a dessert.
Why do I feel so much emotion?
And feel all this hurt.

Suddenly I find a old rhyme,
Written in a bottle.
From once upon a time.
Something that explains so much.

I walked around then stop,
And then read the poem called "Tear Drop"

"Everytime she had a fear,
I was always there to catch her tear.
Then held her tight,
Told her everything was alright."

"her tear drop never hit the sand,
Ive always catch them in my hand,
Then held her near,
Wiping away every tear and fear."

"But now im stuck here with fear,
Things suddenly don't seem so clear.
As I closed my eyes in anguish,
She then suddenly vanished."

"Instead of hearing tear drops hit her hand,
It fell then hit the sand.
To the left I see foot prints of her walking away,
To the right I see a ocean created from today."

"Who knew there would be so many tears,
When forever felt so near,
Who knew it would never stop,
That never ending tear drop."

"If she was true,
She would of knew"

After stoping from what I read,
I felt back all the past emotion,
And I now understand all the tears that I shed,
I know now why there lies here a ocean.

I then look to the sky,
And catch my own tear.
Then softly said good bye,
Then the ocean slowly started to disappear.

To the left there were her past foot prints,
With so many regrets.
And now to the right I left my foot prints.
With no regrets, just her to forget.

I know now why I saw this ocean,
Instead of a dessert.
I know now why I felt all this emotion,
Because some love from people is just selfish.

As I kept on walking away,
I put to stop,
from that one day,
My never ending tear drop.

The future is now falling on there hand.
Left with past foot prints in the sand.
Until the past foot prints are taken by the wind,
The past times will come to a end.

Well I did 'just' that . . .

I like your use of the idea of oceans of emotion against deserts of unfeeling. I also like the story you've written around another poem, using the message in a bottle technique.

Overall, rather impressive. Familiarly so . . .
