Thoughts of an empty mind

My sight is blocked by a black-coloured nothing,
I'm helpless to move, like a puppet with no string,
This room was once familiar, now i'm completely lost,
Thoughts cloud my brain and cover it with frost
They jump out into the open, feeling at home in the dark,
sometimes clashing together, creating loud sparks,
The conditions of where i sit, correspond well with my mood,
dark and blank, with space to elude.
My thoughts dance out into the room where i cannot see,
I watch them as they waltz before crashing over me,
I shouldn't let them take ahold, i should take complete control,
But so many of them, some small, they eat away at my soul,
I fight small ones off with my sword of disregard,
the larger ones stand their ground where they'll eventually scare,
Thoughts are like demons, taunting you all the time,
My life lacks equity and a love so sublime.

I love your metaphorical language =)
I particularly like the phrase:
"like a puppet with no string"
Beautiful write.
