WHO ME??? NAAAAY, ME NO SAINT

Contributed by emystar on Monday, 12th April 2004 @ 09:53:12 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Don't put me on a pedistol
only human.
Don't peddle me
thee's, thous
religion.
Nnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaay, not me.

Never was a saint
'cause I can rave-n-rant!
Just because I beleive
but then I speak
at times like a framp!
Who me???Nnaaaaay, me no saint!

Was ole Jim,
hippy thru-n-thru
pointed the way.
He answered my question,
Hey
Nnnnnaaaaaaay not me.
If ya wonna know
God as I do
Go to nature, You'll find him too.
Nnnnnnaaaaay not me.

After surviving that
Copper head bite
to sick to even think that nite.
Nnnnnnaaaay not me.

Never even told Dr. 'bout
that snake bite.
three days later
eyeball to eyeball
New respect.
Nnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaay not me
Neither of us blinked
an eye
as he slithered on by.

Next day I moved me-n-my kids to town but I'm back in the country with the snakes nearly 24 years later.

Inspiration: In the early 80's. this is a true story. I found God 'cause he kept me alive. I choose to believe in-luv even if it's a beautifull copper head snake, (very poisenous) making a statement.
I had been hanging out clothes barefoot, in knee high grass. I invaded his turff. Didn't realize it was a snake bite till three days later. If I'd had a gun he would have died. the reason I didn't die is 'cause I went to nature to find God. I still have fang marks on my right foot. Some things ya jus gotta be there to believe.

hmm I liked this one...
It had quite a nice flow to it which made me feel as though something REALLY quick had just happened...
lol I don't think that feeling's associated with the poem, I think it's just me..
hehe nevertheless it was original..

NB: Lucky thing you managed to survive after a snake bite. I would have died. If not from the poison than from the shock and fright of the experience...

Why bother to look to the future
When it comes soon enough?!?!?!?

Nicely done, It was kinda hard for me to understand, but then again I'm not a smart one.
It's cool to see people can still find the good in the places of bad.
Thank God you're still hear.
I would be sad to know I missed so much that you have to say.
God bless.
