Guarding the sacred forest
She watches from above
Birthing new vegetation
Applying care and love
Fear lurks in the distance
A paranoia unaware of
Watching the forest shine
Smiling, is the lady of the vines.
Birds suddenly take flight
Squawking in their wake
The animals stampede below
Causing the ground to shake
As tears come to her eyes
She feels the forests ache
Watching it no longer shine
Weeps, the lady of the vines.
The wind steadily picks up pace
Shooting flames into the sky
Watching their homeland burn
The animals shiver and sigh
Her fear becoming reality
She silently watches and cries
As he works burns with time
Destroying beauty and the lady of the vines.
