*It's Tough Being Me*

It's tough being me,
Nobody really knows.
What the pressure is like for me,
And this is how it goes....

I wake up every morning,
And stare into this face.
I wanna be good lookin',
But I feel like a disgrace.

My friends they seem to like me,
If I follow through with their dare.
But when I try to be myself,
They never seem to care.

It seems like everyone I know,
Is trying to be so cool.
Every time I try,
I just end up looking like a fool.

I have tried drugs,
But I really didn't want you to know.
I just don't fit in,
And now it's really startin' to show.

Maybe if I could make the team,
I'll stand out in the crowd.
If they saw how hard I tried,
I know they would be proud.

I want someone I can always trust,
I just want a true best friend.
My problems aren't really so bad,
If I think of how my life has been.

I'm always lost,
And always wonder what I can do.
I wonder where I can go,
Or who I can talk to.

It's tough being a teenager,
Sometimes life just isn't fair.
I wish I had somewhere to go,
I wish someone would just CARE.
