You were my sanctuary
When I was tired or burned out,
I would escape to your world
Your smile told me that you were alright
And that was enough to make my world alright
You are the one person in this world
I can sit with and not be afraid
But now with you so far away
There is no-one who can calm my world
I’m cold
I’m tired
I’m scared
I’m lonely
I just want somewhere to sit in peace again.
