Wandering around
Spouting random thoughts aloud
Spitting into the crowd
Hiding behind a dark blue shroud
My mind enjoys these little jaunts
And loves to play in old haunts.......
Me an my mind wandering off in different directions
Seeking out new insurrections
And more twisted reflections
Along with more infections
And reality deflections
A ragged bass plays in the background
A small rabbit hops by without a sound
My brain screams to what are we bound
Bring on the hounds
A smile crosses my lips as I realize
That the thunder is on the rise
And the coming of what freedom lovers despise
As we grasp at safety as our freedoms die
Seek safety with the death of freedom
And prepare for your serfdom

You said you wanted comments...something about the line A small rabbit hops by without a sound really gets me. You've got this gift of imagery...I love it. I can't write poetry like this...there's more to this but I may write about it myself...love Steph |

This poem seems somewhat introspective to me. A deep soul searching piece. |
