mother of mine

Topic: dedicatedpoems

mother of mine you are always there for me
i know it must be hard, for one day you must set me free
it seems to you that i'm growing up so fast
so you sit and look upon the past
looking onto my younger days
when all i wanted to do was run around and play

now it's not so much of toys
now i'm into cars and boys
i know it's hard to let it be known
that i'm growing up,and being closer to being out on my own
i know i'm always trying to get my way
and i'm sorry for yesterday's delay

it's not that i always want to be away from you
it's just that i like to get out to
i know that i'm gone alot
but trust me mom, you'll never be forgot

please don't fear
i'm not hanging around drinking beer
i'm not out there with all those thugs
i'm not smoking or doing drugs

you see, i'm not doing anything wrong
except maybe i do stay out alittle long
but yes, on weekends, i like to be
out there with my baby,hehe

when i'm gone i do miss you to
but there are other things i like to do
and remeber mom- I DO LOVE YOU!

You have just put a commen problem into amazing words. I think all parents are the same and they 'worry to much' (mine certainly do).

All mothers should read this....I think it was wonderfully written and quite sincere..
