If only love would be so kind,
As the freezing breeze of winter time.
At least from this you can rap up warm,
At least you can hide from the storm.
As love is not so forgiving,
Love is not so kind,
As those storms that bite the winter,
Even the fires of summer time.
That leave burnt havoc in their path,
Are more forgiving then that word called love.
