She said she wanted just a little time
But even as she said it I knew she was gone.
I tried a little too hard to keep her
And I blinded myself to the reality of love.
Maybe she'll come back to me
Or maybe I won't ever love again .
Attachment seems to be my problem.
I was-am-will always be attached to her.
She wasn't my first love,
But I was hers,
And I guess my definition of Love was wrong.

I liked the sincerity and openess of this poem. The emotions were plain and easy to understand. |

Ahh Chicken....try squeezing a fistful of sand.. trying to hold on tightly to all the grains.... then try just holding the same amount of sand in your other fist..not trying to really keep a hold on it... see what happens.. Better luck next time....
