A Little Doll Named Jillie

Hey Jillie, what do we wanna do today,
a little girl would ask her doll, in a loving way.
Do we wanna play, do we wanna talk,
go sit on the front porch, or take a little walk?
It mattered not to Jillie, she really didn't care,
as long as she wasn't left alone, sitting in her chair.
But, then momma got to big to play with her alot,
she began to worry, maybe she'd been forgot.
'Cause there were times she was in boxes, feeling all alone,
but in her heart she knew...Momma would find her a home.
So it happened one bright day, she heard Momma say,
Here dear Jillie! is where you're gonna stay.
Up she went, sitting high on a special shelf,
with others like her, no longer by herself.
Sixty years had passed and time again was fun,
as Jillie remembered her and Momma playing in the sun.
Momma stopped most everyday, to look into Jillie's eyes,
smooth her dress, touch her hair...and oh, so gently sigh.
Then Jillie noticed Momma changing, getting older every day,
again she began to worry, what if Momma went away?
But Momma's made real certain, when that time surely comes,
that Jillie's not forgotten, there will always be someone,
to talk to her, treat her kind, as she herself grows old,
And in her pocket...a little note, Please don't ever scold.

I GUESS IT WOULD BE WEIRD TO SEE LIFE THRU THE EYES OF A DOLL-BUT INTRESTING!!
