Time passes, relinquishing heat,
And promises marinated in love/lust
First fade then crumble, dust to dust.
Was it in your eyes?
A reflection in a dim corridor
-that wandering look.
Dull kisses stab the senses,
Giving sight to the blind
A listless touch rakes soft flesh,
Passionless embraces
Crush life from the newborn.
Foetal postures only delay
The inevitable disembowelment
Save the martyred poses for stage and screen
-let life bleed on the carpet.
‘He who lets himself be whipped,
Deserves to be whipped’ Masoch declared,
And again we plead not to be spared.
