Formal Decay

Topic: DarkPoetry

the closet bones have awaken from their sleep
it's getting harder to avoid a slip into defeat
many things i wanted to forget have now returned
shaping me as if i tried but failed to learned...
every thought and word keeps spewing in mistake
there's no tomorrow in the little chance i take
losing options comes easily in the subtle reserve
there's nothing left when i didn't have the nerve...

at my objections
in all directions there's still a decadent
far from perfection
each introspection brings a hope of relent

think of me and you might see the surface
a sugar coat that has little use of purpose
dig down and keep digging down furthermore
it's something unfamiliar never seen before...
i'm not accustomed to be read like an open book
but i'm taking chances that before i never took
chance by chance the window opens even more wide
looking in is all the things i wanted to hide...

at my objections
in all directions there's still a decadent
in the interjections
there's a collection of lost hopes never spent

losing both
a place to go
and a detrimental certainty
wishing more
than ever before
to find this thing of inner peace
every note
is feeling choked
all backed up by ambiguity
wounds are sore
in closed doors
locked away only opened by me

at my objections
in all directions there's still a decadent
can't pay attention
even just a mention of it leaves me unsent
far from perfection
each introspection brings a hope of relent
in the interjections
there's a collection of lost hopes never spent

Pushing the list, easy for the people who pretend to know, harder to say out loud to those that realise, but do it anyway... a trick for partial solitary. Something to find...yeah, the rest can crumble.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
