Echoes come to my ears of laughter
Rising and falling down the street
Their voices come to me shortly thereafter,
Those of children I will never meet.
Tears come easily to my eyes
As I wander in the direction of the sound
Knowing they won't be there but asking why,
There will be no little ones to be found.
The way I see the world
Is different in my eyes
In every corner there's a shadow curled
Ever does blood float from the skies.
Light splays off everywhere
I could almost touch the rays
But when I consider I do not dare
Because some part of me decays.
Contrast is strikingly vivid to me
As my eyes are keen on diversity
And I don't know why but I can't see
Anything but bleak adversity.
The children's voices are ahead
Time to walk more quickly now
Diabolically, they'll be dead
I'm a step behind puzzling out how.

The comment before the poem was this:
Aft"er-im`age, n. The impression of a vivid sensation retained by the retina of the eye after the cause has been removed; also extended to impressions left of tones, smells, etc. |

THE WORDS AND FEELINGS THAT YOU WROTE WERE HELP FUL TO THIS LITTLE BOAT
LOST AT SEA IN THE WAVES OF CONCIOUSNESS AND REALITY.
THING THAT ARE AND COULD BE SEEM BUT A DREAM.WHEN WE KNOW
THE FLOW EXTRACTS THE STREAM.
WE ARE OF TIME
BUT IT'S OUR MINDS
THAT SCREAM
AND I FEEL THE CONCEPT OF THE BARDO
I LIKE, IT WAS A GOOD WRITE |

I really enjoyed that, it made me think. I liked the way you showed your perception of your surroundings in a powerful emotive way. Impressive!! |

after reading this work, you have left an after-image in my head of this poem and of what it describes, and the sheer beauty you write of...
Excellent work...
~let life be your lyrical song, everyday's the words, every year is a verse, because in the end, there is no 'repeat'~

Every time I read one of your masterpieces, I learn a little bit more about myself. The depth of your poetry causes me to look at things in a new light, which in turn results in me realising another thought that hadn't occured to me yet (or that I was not capable of expressing this well).
Another sincerely memorable poem from you: another artistically dark, beautifully painted delineation of emotion.
Keep writing or i'll stop writing,
-V.S. |
