Something's gotta be

If you’ll be old one day,
Will you be much different
From what you would’ve been
Without that soar of disaster?
Will you have someone, not understanding,
But loving your smell of wilderness,
Which you cannot wash down
After those lone years out there.
Will you die there at the crossroads
Where decisions stretch and ache,
Where everything comes together
Just to escape again?
Or will you’ve left to somewhere?
Following memories or an instinct?
Is there a place you dream of
In this sad world of awareness?
What was it, or is it still,
That you hate to see, but have to,
By law of love, or that fading faith,
Which brought you all this back?
And tell me if you’ve someone
Who knows you but doesn’t know that.
Does that one build bridges
In the shade of your secret tower?
