Drowning Whirlwind

Drowning Whirlwind

I hate this life
I hate my mind
I hate my heart
They are stuck in time

I can't stop living for him
I can't stop thinking of him
I can't stop loving him
I can't stop anything

I'm in the whirlwind of feelings
And I'll never get out
I'm stuck in the whirlwind
And that is where my life stops
Nothing but the thoughts
Nothing but the emotions
Run through my head
Through my heart
And they wont stop
No matter how many times
I sink or swim
I won't survive
The whirlwind of feelings

It's so useless to swim
And be above the emotions
When you just sink to the bottom
One breath and you're under
And you are spun
Till you drown in your feelings
And you won't understand anything
Till you're above emotion
Above the ocean of sorrow

And by then
You've sunk too far to reach up again
You've sunk too far in the water
And won't breathe again

very well done... I liked the repetition at the start emphasized the pain that u are (were?) feeling. I loved it though sometimes straightforward poems are the best just to purge the emotions.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
