Drops Of Reign

Contributed by liquidsunshine on Thursday, 8th April 2004 @ 07:24:41 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Earth Escapes to flood my senses
Smells of tingling ancient calm
Clouds have thickly come unnoticed
As the trees turn up their palms
Now I'm eager, my breath's baited
I can't sit for it's too long
Since my heart could pitter-patter
As the raindrops sing my song

~*~Chorus~*~
Release my rhythm in the thunder
Lightning dance with me again
Wind sing harmony from under
My melody and rain must blend
*~*~*~*~*~*

Tempo quickens with my heartbeat
Healing me with such a thrill
Puddles slowly fill with chaos
Overflowing with my pill
Only dreams and memories
Seep into my soul and skin
Droplets rid me of the heartache
Trickling my song from within

{Chorus}

Heaven's opened torrents blazing
I am free and pure with bliss
Melting down to stain my face are
Angelic cloud's most tender kiss
God extends his sunlit fingers
Rainbows paint my hopeful art
The storm is over until next time
When rain drops lyrics of my heart

{Chorus Twice}

Peaceful confident and beaming
Ready to let someone in
Reassured by easy laughter
Second chance to re-begin
A lingering dampness of infusion
Energized much like rebirth
Rich and heavy smells of freedom
Telltale signs of rainfall's worth

This was beautiful. Just incredible. I read it twice and found myself in awe of how well it sounds to just read. I commend you on this one... Kie

Good job!
I'm a lover of the rain too. It's such a beautiful thing. I haven't written about it in particular, but I think at least a good half of my poems are in a setting with rain or mist...
I love it.
Keep writing!
Andrew

I have just read this delightful poem. You have the ability to rhyme and write what I am sure would make a good song. Try sending this to a songwriter you never know your luck. By the way I too would have liked to become a florist but in my days boys were considered sissy's if they had anthing to do with Flowers. Good luck with the writing.

This was so great! I could feel the raindrops and hear the melodies. You have such a musical way of writing....but that would only make sense. *smile* And I love the rain also. Encore yourself there, chica!
