Why aren't people their own individual
Making an altar in others' steeples
Children are taught to become a mold
That's the reason we grow old,...
So quickly....
We learn to be a certain kind of person;
What if that person is who you despise?
Shall you despise yourself?
To favor others,
To feel you belong.
Break those walls of conformity!
Be who you want to be;
For the concept of individuality is dying.

Your poem reflects what is wrong with youth today. They all want to be as someone else is.
There goes their identities. Your poem is just wonderful. A mirror image of my sentiments exactly. |
