Mockery of the World

Contributed by bobotheclown on Thursday, 8th April 2004 @ 11:44:05 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

I'm hanging here by a thread
Blood runs from my neck
(Rubbed raw from the rope)
And down my chest and legs
A weak smile cracks my face
Because the blood tickles
I twirld around naked, humiliated
For the world to see and laugh at
Tears burn down my face
Not from the pointing fingers
Or mocking, lusting laughs,
But from the pain which
Blankets my body like a quilt
The affliction seeps from my brain,
It whirls around, all parts are susceptible
Heightening every sense and emotion
And unable to rest my head in my hands
The aching torment has its way with me
Unable to gain, but a second of precious respite
Sweat breaks out on my forehead
As I try to not scream
The craving for drugs takes me over
And debilitates my fragile defenses
The tears pour down and hit the ground
And I pray this thread will snap
So I will no longer be the mockery of this world
And can earn some well-earned peace

(walks in claping) Very good. I like this very much. I will say little for my words would turn this poem fowl. It paints such images. From this pain came somthing of such beautie. Keep these coming and i'll be reading your name in a book.

*reads poem*

five minutes later,
*staring at monitor*

another five minutes pass,
*re-reading poem*

yet another five,
*jaw drops*

one word... wow
so deep and thought-inspiring
very good work this time around, as always...

~let life be your lyrical song, everyday's the words, every year is a verse, because in the end, there is no 'repeat'~

I dont know what else to say that hasnt been said above. This was an amazing write so full of emotion and heart. I wish I could take away all of the pain that you vividly describe in this. Wish you the best, keep in there.

This one holds me in utter shock. Such brutality and evil. I can almost feel the pain living in your words. They are so beautiful and I cant wait for another taste of your poetry.

Kisses,
~Soulless~
