Insecurity should be listed as a disorder
At least in my case it seems to be
Never met anyone so afraid of life
I wish I could be anyone but me
I know there are others who suffer too
Some have never seen the sun
But in my minds eye
I’m the only one
Afraid to leave the house
Lest someone should see me
Always wanting to find some dark place
Alone is the only way to be
I never see smiles upon others faces
Any kind words are out of pity
Wish I lived far out in the country
Instead I live here in the big city
Thought I could just blend in
Live my life without doubt
But in a sea of kittens
A cow would surely stand out
This feeling follows me throughout the day
At work everyone stares at me
Behind my back are snickers and laughs
If only I could close my eyes and just not see
Afraid to love, afraid to laugh
Unable to trust, always the outcast
Always wonder how friends really feel about me
Must be why my friendships never last
I find I always second guess myself
Nothing I do is good enough
Can always find error in what I say and do
Guess I’m really not all that tough

Well said and truly spoken! I think this poem needed to be wrote, and needs to be read in every high school classroom!
And, I live my life like this too...
So I understand what you're going through...

In my case its low self esteem or no self confidence.
