Sleep now little darling
Don’t try to thing of memories
Pretty soon she’ll be calling
But for now just rest with ease
Sleep now little child
Just close those eyes
Stop thinking of her for awhile
Let those memories die
Sleep now yourself
And stop talking to me
I don’t this will help
I guess I’ll have to wait and see
I’ll just wait for it to pass
The thoughts I get, to fade into the past
I want her to be last
I don’t want anyone else to ask
The clock is past 10
And I want to sleep
I hate to think of it again
But I can’t stop these dreams
I can’t stop me
I feel so weak
For the desire I seek
And the company I need
I will no be
Just another memory
But for now darling
Just sleep.
