The One

Contributed by Piper on Wednesday, 7th April 2004 @ 11:43:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

When he met her, they became close friends before she was the one
He did not want to be in a relationship
She wanted to start something of complete newness
They became closer, he denied his feelings
He finally expressed what was on his mind
She understand his decision, but didn't understand why the long time
They finally joined together and she was the one
His past made him question his trust
He couldn't imagine commitment so trun away he must
Thus, his insecurities caused the divided
Even after admitting the wrong doing he had to much pride
Later they split ways after she was the one
He was alone again but this was his own decision
He deeply missed her but his days of compassion were done
Longing for, loving and wanting the one

Excellent! This shows great insight into the way human emotions can cause such sad situations. What a beautiful, but grievously flawed, nature we have, eh?
Keep writing!
Andrew

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
