loud glass shatters
jars of suppressed silence fill the gap
of a lonesome sound shivers
a fallen angel breaks his back
wounded and broken
seeing through the opaque windows
quietly outspoken
thinking so shallow
you open his keepsake for the memories
remind him of all that's lost
bloody tears bring the delivery
stinging sensation of a higher cause
the recollection of it all is too much
he breaks his wings and such
he lives to fall in a downward spiral
he cries to drown in his tears
he hopes to make it through the night
but he'll never last these years

Chilling was just the word I was thinking too..... the writing packed with emotion and depth. I love the "jars of suppressed silence" line. That I think is a perfect opening setting for the peice.
I loved this write-- really enjoyed reading it =)
God bless,

I have felt this desolation before and it is a downward spiral. It takes a lot of inner strength to come out of it and start over again. This is a good write. I truly remembered the agony.
