Let it be known to everyone - today,-
Today we celebrate “Spy Wednesday”
And to betrayal points the Liturgy,
And to betrayal’s gross vulgarity.
To the much troubled Judas- him, who did
Betray, unwittingly, and out of greed,
And disappointment with the Master- shame!
But we “good Christian folk” - we do the same!
Yes, we betray each day and who can say
How many more times every single day,
But much more undercover and concealed,
In conduct and demeanor in many a field.
Disciples of the Lord - all ran a way,
In cowardice, --but just the same betray,
And Peter “Rock” to build on did the same,
He even disavowed the Savior’s name.
This Wednesday, bethink thee Christian soul
That God appointed Judas for his role,
And would he not His instrument redeem
Who executed the high plans of HIM.
One Spy or traitor more amongst the crowd
Of Christian traitors that condemn so loud,
To summarize I do re-iterate
What weeks ago I had already said:
Blessed be the Sculptor artist that did “see”
A Judas set from Raven Tunnels free,
And in his work prophetically portray
A Judas in his Master’s arms to stay.

Oh, love this. I love that it incorporates religion and it is very well written. There is no forced rhyme, either. One of the best I've read on this sight! I can't wait to read more! |
