Dancing where young shadows lie
Like silhouettes of silent wry
A sleeping king in yonder dreams
Where light is played and music gleams
To falling clocks from clouds sublime
Perception held in captive time
As vague as thought we enter sleep
A crawling note, from sounds we creep
Inclined by depth our hearts afoot
A paradox that one wont put
One flame to float where waters kept
A watered death where flames once slept
Illusions found where humans live
Vagaries we wish to give
Judgements made by worded bliss
Connective Meanings where we miss
An intellect, to fathom why
Existence lost, a sound goodbye
So in dreams where clocks will fall
Where music gleams and light will call
The key to fate is in your mind
Locked away, enwrapped entwined
Decide your fate, illusion true
Let your dreams consume, imbue.

Luke man, you are just simply a superb writer. I dare anyone to find a flaw in this. There are but a handful, now or ever, who could write with such.....precision. Your word choice is second to none my friend.
dammed if I'll give ya a rose,
But the drinks are on me forever.

Where I found it hard to follow your concepts at times, (Like silhouettes of silent wry ?), I soon found an alluring candour and intricate theme construct itself from a poem conceived entirely from Muse.
I believe this to be the case (although I may be mistaken) because of the concurrent theme of dreams I find from one of my earlier poems on the subject, which echoes it quite distinctly . . .
I enjoy the way it came together, where your intuitive paradox in the 2nd is brought to life in the last, via the use of musical light and illuminative sound. Then you wrap it all up with the message, which is again, resonative with the dream/fate-theme I found within one of my own efforts.
Thoroughly impressive. Easily your best poem yet, Luke. |

Goodness Luke, you've outdone EVEN yourself. This was absolutely unparalleled. You are a true poet. To write such a masterful work of art. It's mind-blowing.
