Once there was a mermaid,
who, just after she was laid
on a billow
used as pillow
swam away with the sea's aid

This is nicely written =) I enjoyed it, however small. I think the words you chose all have significance-- no wasted breath!
But my favorite part of this has got to be the image of the pillow and billow and what not. That's a fitting image that works well. Kudos =)
