Shy of Love

It's too shy of love
To be real in the morning light.
And there's an unfulfilled desire to sense
His body wrapped in her sweet scent.
They create their own instead
With unspoken dreams
Of lovers who,
With the sunrise,
Knew how to kiss and tell.
It's too shy of love, my friend,
And too silent.

I think this is such a romantic write, but just shy of conventional romance, you know? I mean, it's in the name, right? lol....
Well, you've got the feeling of the morning after, which in itself is supposed to be.... peaceful, sublime, surreal....
But some of the lines in there give such a feeling of "not quite". The kiss and tell line is my personal favorite (I love anything that takes a spin on a common phrase--- just one of those things lol)
I could sense the disquiet in it.
Very well written, I enjoyed this a lot =)
God bless,
