For just a day

Contributed by sunshinegirl on Tuesday, 24th September 2002 @ 01:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I will see him tonight
For the first time in awhile
I want to be strong
But I always melt with his smile

They say dont worry about tomorrow
Just think about today
They tell me to enjoy the moment
And love will lead the way

But how can I do that
There's so much involved
So much history and emotions
So many problems unresolved

The time has arrived
To meet with him once more
I see his face and my heart races
Once more, love has opened the door

What am I doing
Why am I here
Why do I crave him
As he holds me near

I dont want to hurt him
I dont want to cry
I dont know what to do
I cant understand why

Something holds me back
Someone I love so dear
My heart is aching
And I'm living in fear...

What if I make the wrong decision
What if I choose the wrong one
What if I'm not happy
What if all things come undone

My heart seems to turn
In two different ways
Please God give me answers and wisdom
So I may be completely happy, just for a day!

Hey momma....
Beautiful write...obviously from the heart! I wish I had a magical potion that you could sip from that would give you the clarity you so desperately want and need. All I can say is that I love you...trust in your heart...live for today...tomorrow will be here before you know it...and for God's sake....please stop caring about what anyone else thinks...just do that which makes your heart happy!! ;)
I'm here....you know where to find me!
Good luck soul searcher!!
XoXo
Col

Good write. But I don't think you want my advice.

Nice poem, obviously from the heart. Seems as though you’re in a bit of a predicament. I was once in a similar situation where I had to choose between two men. But the answer shouldn’t be as hard to see as you’re making it out to be. These are some of the questions I asked myself to help me choose, I hope they can help you. You obviously love them both, what you need to do is figure out who you are in love with, that will be your answer. Do either of them show you the love and caring you desire, treat you as though you are their queen? Do either of them make you feel as if you’re all that matters? Which wants the things you want out of life? Which is more likely to take a relationship with you to the next level, towards a greater commitment or possibly marriage? Who do you feel more protected by, more secure with? Which one do you think is more capable of making you “completely happy” for more than just a day? I think this next one is the one that helped me the most. Try to daydream about what life may be like with one, then daydream about what life might be like with the other. Which dream was more clear, more believable, more like what you want, which was easier to envision? These are the questions you should be asking yourself and if you answer these questions truthfully and from the heart, you should have your answer. Don’t let the question what if you’re not happy decide for you, because you will never know that from where you are and you won’t know until after you’ve chosen. Are you happy now? I hope I’ve helped, even if only a little. Best of luck to you and keep writing.

Lauren

P.S. It's been almost 6 years and I'm still happy with my decision.

Ureka,
There are no questions you could possibly ask yourself to solve this one. You just know. I had this problem awhile ago and tortured myself for so long but one day I woke up and just knew. Give yourself time and like XO said, dont' listen to anyone else. They don't live inside your head and heart. Follow your own advice and live for love. ONce you decide cherish that person forever. Good luck and know I am always here if you need someone to talk to. We are alike with the talking to people, we try not to. Maybe we could lean on each other? See you at work.
love

beautiful poem, only thing I can say is follow your heart, out of the two whom you care for, which one will you truely be happy with, only you can answer this and noone else can tell you which to choose, but befor the decision is made, think out what each one does to make you happy, which one has the stronger beat from your heart when you are around them, and last but not least, dont worry about what has happened in the past, the past is there for a reason, maybe there was reasons as to the way things are now, give your heart to the man that deserves you the most, best of luck and keep posting those poems!

Girl... the only thing I can tell you is this. Take one step back, look deep way down in your soul and then look at these guys that you are so in love with... and when you look at them, which one looks at you like he could love you forever, and that he will cherish you forever? Which one is almost like looking into your own soul. One of them is... you just have to look into their eyes and see it... but you can't do it right in the middle of that situation. Take a step back...
Always here if you need an ear,
Gin (Ginsdance)
