Daddy’s Time
--------------------
It’s baseball season,
Daddy’s time for the TV.
Say goodbye to all your buddies,
You’re usually used to see.
Say goodbye to Dora,
Say goodbye to Blue.
Say goodbye to the Wiggles,
Say goodbye to Scoobie-Doo.
It’s almost time for bed,
All your friends will be here in the morn.
Don’t look at me like that,
Like your heart has just been torn.
I have been very generous in sharing,
Always letting you have your way.
But I’ve been waiting all year long,
For this very special day.
Okay, okay, I give up,
You take the big screen; I’ll take the one upstairs.
So give me a smile,
And not that disappointed stare.
