Down but I am clay
Brown and I display
The depth of nationality
Blind but It's ability
I can shape gold
Become man but not cold
In a water reality
I can mold me
Wet but in control
Upset and beginning to fold
Strength from inside out
Dry but without a drought
My surface looks cracked
Inside I'm a river to react
While your puddle dries
Your turning back for mine
I am the last to fall
From a dry bitter crumble
And I am your last chance
To be grounded before you tumble

Nice personification there, I like how it builds up to the end. Well done. |
