The Hunt

Contributed by Remy on Tuesday, 6th April 2004 @ 03:57:27 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

settle for today...
the stakes have been thrown to sea
and as the bay runs further away
the chase doesn't even phase me
not today...

i'm through
the hunt is done
i've scored a new song...
so have you
but it was fun
the end has come along...
true.

we stake our paths...
the lengths seems to run around
as each wave crashes down in wrath
the break points so clearly sound
and it lasts...

i'm through
the hunt is gone
i've drafted a new one...
maybe you
that's so wrong
i said that i was done...
soon.

if you're cold all the time
then why do you keep shining in so warm?
now i'm tired, but still wired
connected to you, well is it bad form?
not today...
but soon...

is it through?
the hunt is won
then how is it so wrong...
with you
the wait is long
i'll sing this stupid song...
to you.

Quite a sad write and has a tone of resignation there, but enjoyable to read. Hope things get better for ya.
