The Darkness

The Dark surrounds me,
Swallowing me whole.
Everyday the cycle goes on,
I ignore it by filling my bowl.
The paint pastel princess of my life doesn't cut it anymore,
She has died and left me all alone.
I am finding another to fill her void,
She fills my mind with love and joy.
I inhale this new love of mine,
While the lost love sits low in my belly.
Where there was once lifeless land,
Now new ideas and thoughts sprout.
The suffering that was once so extreme,
Has now faded out in a dream.
