This is a poem
If you wish
To call it such
Given to you
Out of boredom
Inspiration
Often comes then
Most of affection
Written before one’s eyes
Not recognized
Feel this
A love of family
Long missed
Disconnected
A drifting
Build a bridge
Between vessels
Make more
Than blood
Be our common
Lead by example
Wait and see
As example
May branch

If families were all perfectly functional, there would be no poets. I like the boating analogies here. An interesting write.
