A study

At night-the black sky hides wonders
in every covert quadrant
and the gazer can detect
the star's steady wanderings,
and the meteorites flee
from their restraining grasp.
With explosions of colour,
and a firey last gasp....

t, this is great. I especially love the last two lines, "With explosions of colour,
and a firey last gasp....". It is a great visual and I have seen it in the night sky. Living far out in the country does have its advantages. Peace, quiet, unobstructed views and magnificent night skies.

Your descriptions draw me right into the poem. I feel I am standing right there, watching the black sky.... Wonderful work to share with us. Thank-you!
