The Rope

Contributed by Shadow on Monday, 5th April 2004 @ 11:38:16 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Passion has left me
Alone to die
The simple knot
I begin to tie

Was it for nothing
That I took breath
I long for peace
Found only in death

The last loupe done
I begin to cry
I tried so hard
Only to die

At the ceiling
I begin to tie
No one can say
I didn’t try

The limp rope hangs
Around my Head
I take a last look
At my gentle bed

Will you miss me
After I’m dead
I wish I could
Kiss your head

The limp rope jumps
Strait as a line
These final words
At least where mine

This would be kind of tough to put in a category, it is dark but it could also be put into suicide. Really good write, I found it kind of sad as well.

There are different descriptions of dark but I think this one is the most true since it depicts the darkness in the heart. Very well written! bitter one, hey I hope you're still there reading this comment! Lol! Keep hanging to the rope but with your hands not neck! Awesome write!

Very beautifully written, touching, emotional. I love this poem for so many reasons.
