The Tears Magnify the Image

Contributed by JennyFruFru on Monday, 5th April 2004 @ 11:05:57 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Your face was brushed with sadness
I can see it in your eyes
The tears only magnify the image
For sadness can not hide

I asked you why your crying
But you kept it deep inside
I wish that you would tell me
But instead you tell me lies

The scarring of your misery paints a mortal wound
The pain you shed is evidence, perhaps of your dark gloom

You keep falling into darkness
Its like your destiny
Instead I want to help you
Help you to be free

Allow my hand to be your anchor
Please listen to my words
The tears only magnify the sadness when its feeding from your soul

Stand strong or it will get you
Id hate to see you fall
But that time is coming, and I will hold you through it all

And that is exactly what true friends are for. Help them when they are down. Never go away, just be there to listen and give a hug. This is a lovely piece of work.

Rita

hope you have friends that care about you that much,
beautiful poem,
i know sometimes it can seem like your friend doesn't want to let you help but they do appreciate you being there, at least with you they're not completley lost, give it time and they'll let you help
