Under the face of explored contemplations
Irridescent tears of the old man are
Extinguished on his furrowed lips
By his experienced hands
He'd feel better dead
His ever existing name though
Keeps him alive
His family
Keeps him alive
The thought of smiles to come
Keeps him alive
The faded color that his eyes hold
View life in a careless manner
The young boys label him as
A hero
As an
Inspiration to keep on
The hidden emotion of misery
Strangles his pores though
And the spirit to live has evaded him
Although the ghost of demise seems Intriguing
The love for his wife
Keeps him alive
The memories that may be constructed
Keep him alive
The yellow radiance that greets him in the morning
Keeps him alive
How long can he keep going
Before the decided path of nature
Takes its toll on his soul of wisdom?

Oh My, this is a masterpiece. Explaining the images so clear......and without even a model. You have a marvelous imagination with veneer!
Enjoyed this immeasureably.....I'm getting there, could certainly empathize.....especially the part about his eyes......seems that's the most telling part of an older persons soul
Beautifully written........'tis worth gold!
