This Poem Is A Question

Contributed by MisterRight on Tuesday, 24th September 2002 @ 07:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

To be honest I’m not sure, what I should do.
So, I’ve decided, to hand our fate to you.
We’ve left and returned to each other, quite a few times.
There’s something within us, the same rhythm and rhyme.
Something we’ve found, that can’t be defined.
This magnetic attraction, between your heart and mine.
On several occasions, circumstances have led us away.
But our hearts always lead us back together, and I’d like to stay.
I realize now, I don’t want to let you go.
To be without you in my life, only fills me with woe.
I love you too much, to hold true to my goodbye.
Without you here with me, my heart slowly dies.
But I know we can’t go back, to the way things were.
The competition and jealousy, the frustration and anger.
I can no longer handle, being “the other guy.”
But I don’t want to lose the woman, who makes me alive.
I’m having trouble seeing, just what that leaves.
It seems either way, my heart will still greave.
I think our lives should move forward, and never back.
I wonder, can we move together, on the same track?
I believe we can, but you have to believe it too.
So read closely these words, I’m writing to you.
I know to find yourself, you need your time.
And I don’t help, always asking you to be mine.
You have to figure out, what you need to make you happy.
And it’s hard to do that, with the pressure from me.
You want to realize yourself, where you are and where you should be headed.
And try to be sure, your decisions, will never be regretted.
What it is that you need, to make you whole.
And who it is, that will complete your soul.
After this poem, I’ll no longer question you.
On the decisions you make, or the things that you do.
I’ll wait patiently here, till you can find your own way.
You will hear no more pressure, in the things that I say.
Just know that my heart, to this day, remains unchanged.
And my love for you, will always be the same.
So take your time, search your heart and soul through.
Decide for yourself, what will be best for you.
This poem is a question, you can’t answer today.
It’s a question of whether we’ll part, or together we’ll stay.
This question, you can only answer, when you’ve found your feelings true.
And until that day arrives, I’ll await an answer, from you.
So, this is the last question I’ll pose to you, my dear;
Now that we’ve come back to each other again, where will we go from here?

Hmmm..ya know...maybe you should ask her 'the' question...You love her so much..from every vein love pours out of you for her. And at the same time...I can feel your hurt threw your words. Be good to yourself and take care :)

The fact that you can write those words down really does prove your love. ITs like that whole baby thing. How about we cut the baby in half so we can each have a piece. Well through your love you let her go and as you know in the tale, that person gets the baby because of the enormous amount of love they showed. Be well and things will work out in the end, one way or the other.
love
