No Longer...

No Longer...

Lying,
In a pool of crimson blood and flesh.
My blood, My flesh,
Mixed together with the dirt from the asphault.

I didn't die with no one around,
But the crowds don't seem to care,
Or even notice.

I rid you of the pain in your heart,
By removing myself from deep inside.

I removed myself from this world,
But nobody care's,
For I was a nobody,
And that's what I'll be for eternity.

I watch as a handful of people,
Step casually away from my casket,
My new home.

No one was crying,
Not one face sad.
My Grandparents left early,
Seems they had somewhere better to be.

Leaving only my family,
Alone,
Feeling the way I feel now.

Of those people in that cold,
Dimly lit room,
The one I thought would surely show,
Was nowhere to be found.

I soon found out,
A few days later,
That she was with someone else.
My death made her engagement official.

So now I lay,
Atop your four poster bed,
Watching,
Imagining myself,
In place of the man,
Who has his arms wrapped around you.
Who now protects you,
Better than I ever could do before.

But No one cares,
Or even seems to notice,
That I am no longer apart of this world,
Or apart of the next.
Instead,
I am non-existent,
To all those in the world...

haha it's funny how much of what you have put down on paper i have felt. It's scarey also to stand back and see how many people in this world feel for the same pain. Are suffering and many dont even have a clue. Nice work. If you need someone to talk to im sure there are many people that would be willing to lend an ear.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
