run away

Contributed by lostinmyself on Monday, 5th April 2004 @ 01:55:21 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

i seem to cry myself to sleep each night,
sleep little, eat none at all,
i go to bed caring,
even if it is not returned,
and i cry my heart out,
because thats how much it hurts...

what made me feel these feelings?
what told me it is right,
to sit and worry and think about you,
and cry for you but hate that you cry.

you made me want to die today,
and as we spoke i hid the tears,
flowing so freely for your pain,
because i know that if i hurt you hurt,
and what will that achieve..?

nothing will ever change this way..
because you keep running away..

"I hate you, but I love you, I can't stop thinking of you."
Your poem reminded me of that Stacy Orrico song. I know these feelings oh so well. Can take so very long to get beyond them, but get beyond them we must. Your future floats on every breath. On the other side your life spreads out before you---a rainbow of all the Crayola colors. Don't miss it for anything!

It sounds like you are in a tough emotional situation. You expressed the range of emotions you are going thru so well. A great poem...Kie

I can relate to this, and I like the way how you potray the emotional intesnity of yourself in words. It leaves me in awe that you can be so honest and yet write in a perfect way

i guess thats how my mum felt when i ran away.
*sob*
... only that still didn't stop the abuse.
see if you can help this person to open up to you, and when she/he does be there for them, no matter what.

all i wanted was a friend that understaood me. only when everyone was horrid about it, i felt unwanted and it forced me to do it more...
