The Weight of Misery on my Shoulders

Contributed by StarSpark on Sunday, 4th April 2004 @ 11:06:29 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I'm at the point,
where all i see
is broken promise and misery
life was different way back then,
up until i turned ten,
daddy left and sister died,
i have no lies to hide,
i say it loud, though not quiet clear
i cannot make it ear to ear

life is blurry, it seems pointless,
i feel hurt, empty and alone,
mother i am here for you,
i cannot promise to be strong,
though everyday i try to smile,
just to help you feel better,
but who i ask is here for me?

no ones left in my life, except for tho's who lean on me, i'm not a cane, cant u see?
i need help, your not the only one,
so what makes you think i'm your private help line?

i'm happy to help you if you help me,
though, i think it's too late, cant u see?
i'm wearing away peice by peice
let me put your heart at ease,
it's seems thats all i do these days,

of course i'm here, i love you all,
but sometimes i need help too,
being the one that everyone relies on can be a big resposibility for a thirteen year old,
though sometimes i feel forty,
deep at heart i know i'm not,
i love you sis, you wont be forgot.

Sometimes we all feel like we carry the world on our sholders. Death happens and unfortunately it can happen to a child of neer 6 or 10. Let me say that the world is a horrid place, be glad when it's gone, the only good in this world is true friendship.... i'm babling.....
Best wishes and good luck,
Save Me From Myself

Hi, it was a well written poem, i hope that some day the world can seem like a better place for you, and those who rely on you to be strong will realise that you have the right to have someone be strong for you too. If you ever need to chat feel free to PM me, im 17 and my name is Stacy.

I'm sure you won't forget her.
I like the way you rhymed 'ear to ear' to get your message across to me, even though it doesn't get across to those whom you feel lean on you.

Well done.

keep writing.
