Im a fool..
drowning in your eyes,
trying to collect the pieces of my heart,
but watching them fly away,
trying to draw along the same line twice,
trying to find myself but trying to hide,
so confused about how i feel,
what i want,
please tell me how its meant to be
loves fool...

I agree with Necromant, that was a really cool author's note...love makes a fool of us all but still we bow to its command...beautiful write here, sad and longing. |

Lost,
It makes perfect sense to one who has been there. I love the line about trying to draw along the same line twice. I knew EXACTLY what that meant. You have conveyed this so very well.

Ahhh yes! I have been love's fool on more than one occasion...These two lines define the poem for me:
"Trying to draw along the same line twice,
trying to find myself but trying to hide"
Very honest words...well written piece Philly!
