There's a spot
A dot on the map
Out on the border
With a wild, raging river tumbling down
A little place
Built on the banks
A cool breeze blowing
And a longing in my heart
Beginning to shout
(Chorus)
Take me back
Back home to Texas
Where a blue bonnet trail
Calls my name
I'm in a wide open spaces
State of mind
Take me back home to Texas
It's been a long,long time
There's a girl
Waiting for me
Back on the river
Her love is true
She keeps holding on
And there's a sunset catching fire
Most every evening
Reason enough for me
To head back home
Chorus

"blue bonnet trail" is a lovely picture. Gets the idea right on. Also, I could just see the "sunset catching fire". Gorgeous picture.
Well done
(I'd love to hear a tune to it.....)
=)
God bless,

It seems Texas has a way of grabbing its natives hearts and never letting go. Home is beautiful right now with all the bluebonnets and paintbrushes and sombreros blooming in mass profusion. Get your but home, she is calling!
