If only...

Topic: LostLove

I looked at you,
and you reminded me
of the highs life gives you simply
your beautiful smile,
your glistening eyes,
I could tell, you kept no lies,
one day I saw you standing with her,
holding her hand,
it hurt me so much to see you there
I hadn't told you how I felt,
instead I had to play the cards that I was delt,
you thought we were friends,
don't get me wrong, I love that too,
only the love for you is something more,
but now it won't come through the door,
I'm sorry it had to be this way,
you and my best friend from day to day
to see you happy, puts a smile on my face, but a crack on my heart,
she makes you smile your beautiful smile, your eyes dance when you see her,
I can tell your truly happy,
for that I'm glad,
but now I know what you should have said
your the reason I get out of bed

I love you still and I always will!

Very true poetry on emotions you feel. You basically took your depest feelings and wrote them onto paper. This is poetry because I can feel your emotion and understand your story. The words that were spoken and comments that were made bring reality. Now to put power behind it I suggest a running line to break your thoughts and moments. Here's an example: If only I knew it was never us two and if only you knew how I loved you too. Just a thought keep writing and nice poem. ;)
