HANDED OVER AND LEAD AWAY........
PILATE PROCLAIMS, "LOOK THE MAN!"
Though bruised and battered, here stands the most
outstanding figure of all history!
Truly a man, Jesus has proven to be the
Greatest Man, no mystery.
His quiet dignity and calm even Pilate must
acknowledge as Greatness!
For Pilate's words are apparently mingled of
both respect, and pity as he knows he is flawless!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AGONY........PART FOUR
"HANDED OVER AND LEAD AWAY.......
Pilate is deeply moved by the quiet dignity
of Jesus tortured.
He tries to release him once again, He's deeply bothered.
Determined not to let anything interfere with their wicked purpose
The Chief Priests become very angry shouting,
"Kill Him!" with coarseness!
"Take him yourselves and *impale him!" Pilate responds.
Declaring Jesus innocent for the fifth time, Pilate has no bonds.
They shout, "He claims to be God's Son, that's against our law!"
Pilate is fearful, Jesus is no ordinary man, of Jesus he is in awe!
Now Pilate is thinking, "He is God's Son?" but how?
For he knows that Jesus is from Galilee, but somehow?"
Pilate is thinking that perhaps Jesus lived before?
He questions Jesus, "Where did you come from, I'm unsure?"
Jesus remains silent, he told Pilate earlier, "My Kingdom is not of your world."
Pilate is hurt at Jesus' silence, and his words are hurled!
"Do you not know I have the Authority to release you?"
"I also have the authority to kill you?"
Respectfully Jesus answers, "You would have no authority except what is given
you from above to pursue."
Pilate once again is so impressed, fearful Jesus may be of Divine Origin,
He tries again, once more to release Jesus, his life lengthen.
Rebuffed by the Jews, they craftily threaten Pilate with a political charge.
"If you release this man, you are not a friend of Caesar!" yours is a mischarge!
Dispite the dire implications, Pilate brings Jesus outside once more..........
See Your King! He appeals yet again!"
Answering, "Take him away! Take him away,
*Impale him! Amen!!!"
Shouting Pilate says,"You want me to kill your King?"
The Jews hate the Romans, yet, hypocritally they want him killed, just for the asking!
Fearing for his Political Position, Pilate finally caves in!
He finally hands Jesus over to the soldiers to be killed, His conscience is clear within!
Jesus is stripped of his outer garments, and the purple cloak.
Jesus offers no resistance, nor do they hear a word he spoke.
Friday, Nisan 14, midmorning, approaching noon......
Jesus has been up since early Thursday morning, rest bestrewn!
He has been tortured and experienced one agonizing experience after another!
Understandable so, he is too tired to carry his own *Torture Stake which he should, it is proper!
Passerby, Simon of Cyrene of Africa is told to carry it for him.
Many people that love him, follow, including grieving women, the situation is dim!
Jesus addresses the Jewish women, "Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weepng for me.
"Weep only for yourselves and your children" he says, Bravely.
"Look the days are coming when "Happy are the barren women!"
Meaning when the Roman Armies devastate the Jewish Nation and it's children.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
***Was Jesus killed upon a cross bar instrument of torture?
Historians will tell you that is not so, the Romans used only trees or stakes for their slaughter!
According to the Roman Law of impalement, the criminal was hung.
Both hands high over his head, with feet tightly strung.
Then as the execution proceeded along, a soldier, his legs would break.
If the criminal was still alive, he would slowly suffocate, no fake!
His legs were supporting him, when they are broken, no support!
Assurance that the criminal is dead, they also stab him in the side, life abort!
If a Bible reader you happen to be, Please note:
In your own Bible where ever the Greek word stau-ros" or cross is found.
When you look up the Greek meaning, you will find it is an upright stake, or pale around.
According to Roman Historian Livy, a stake or Pile used for a foundation was used.
The picture below was taken from his book, showing how they hung the accused.
The Latin Dictionary by Lewis and Short gives as the basic meaning crux: "a tree, frame, or other wooden instruments of execution." On which criminals were impaled or hanged." In the writings of Livy, a Roman Historian of the first century B.C.E. Crux means a mere stake. "Cross" is only a later meaning of Crux a single stake for impalement of a criminal was called in Latin crux simplex. One such instrument of torture is illustrated by Justus Lipsius (1547-1606) in his book De Cruse libri tres, Antwerp, 1629 p 19. The photograph of the crux simplex above is an actual reproduction for you to view.
This is just one of the proofs I have found, and if you would like further documentation, please feel free to email me, I will be happy to send it along to you.

THIS WILL END PART FOUR OF "AGONY"
Tomorrow, PART FIVE...........AGONY ON THE STAKE............
No one ever tells what happened to the world around them at the time of Jesus death. I will be telling that also in PART FIVE....
"AFTER JESUS DIES WHAT HAPPENS TO THE WORLD AROUND HIM?"
"For some unknown reason, this part is never told, and yet it helps us to know that Jesus was truly the Son of God! Don't miss it!"

Dear WildeJohnny,
You are welcome to copy anything I ever put on line. The book my information was taken from is called "THE GREATEST MAN THAT EVER LIVED", however, I take no man's word for anything I read......I did extensive research including books from the University of Illinois Library to make sure that what I printed was the Truth, I not only went back into the History of the Roman Empire and their customs, but also found several good sources from Historians that I documented. Another good point that I felt was worthy was the fact, if Jesus had been hung on a cross bar instrument of torture, (he was already dead when they came to break his legs, (that had been prophecied that he would be) but if he had still been alive and they broke his legs, he could have held himself up with his arms on a cross.........whereas, if his arms are over his head......this would be impossible, and then suffocated to death! I found this most interesting.....thank you for your timely comment! This poem has been a dream of mine for years and years......I always felt that if I could write about his suffering I too could feel it better in a emphatic way....therefore; appreciating even more what he gave in our behalf!

Dear Silent, you are very kind Silent. and correct, many times I started early morning and was still composing late at night. However, this has always been my dream, and now it has almost been accomplished. However; the last write will be very hard to compose, as I will have to write of his suffering.......when I write a poem I put my whole heart into it, and that way I can feel what he was feeling. If will be impossible for me to even come close this time.....but I will write what I feel. No greater love could anyone have for us, than to lay their lives down for us......but with such torturing pain......should of course make it more meaningful to us.....showing how hard it was for him! There's no way could ever in all of our lives repay him......and he knew that.....which makes it even more valuable! He didn't even ask anything back for his and all the love he gave!
