I hear tales of a certain man,
So dear a price he paid.
From the dawn of time conceived a plan,
Of which the whole world should be saved.
In was atomic life,
And light more rediant than the stars.
The light of men couldn't comprehend,
The same was in the beginning with God.
Soon the reputation of his many deeds
Enlivened men's hearts with faith
Even the infidel began to belive
In the miraculous revelation of his wake
By way of love, and fervent prayers
He toppled many strong holds
Yet so many stood, intent to snare
This pure and benevolent soul
Betrayed by one; Judas Iscariot
The Old Testament prophesier
Now stood before Pontius Pilate
Condemned as the pretend Messiah
On his head they placed a crown of thorns
Mocking him "saying hail King of Jews.
From his back his clothing was torn,
Revealing a body badly bruised.
Off to the dreary hill of Calvary
He lugged the wooden cross of shame
At midday the land darken tremblingly..
The lamb of God was slain.
Having a cross to bear
Can mean many painful things.
Having faith to take it to the Lord in prayer
Assure that his suffering was not in vain.
