ENOUGH

It's been a long road, and rocky.
Times have been good and bad.
I've reached into my bag of tricks and realized:
It's enough.
It's enough.
I've climbed those mountains and slid down.
I've crossed more rivers than I can count.
Time's been bad; and it's been good.
It's enough.
It's enough.
It's enough to know I've loved
And been loved.
My life's been rich, if not wealthy:
And that's enough.
It's enough.
I wouldn't want a rose garden
- I'm allergic! -
I have blessings of another kind.
Children and grandchildren are enough!
It's enough.
They're enough.

Great poem, I've raised my kids on my own for nearly 15 years too and we may not have the latest computer games or expensive trainers etc but we love each other and thats what counts. Yes, that is enough!! Well said and welcome.

Also a warm welcome from (yours truly) moi! I'm Ellen. You can just call me Ellen. Or Jellybelly, whatever...... But none the less, Ellen's my name.....
So poem, your first here. That's awesome for a first-- gives a picture of your life so far. And I'm surprised and glad for you that you're so satisfied with it. It's always nice to have a satisfaction =)
"I can't get no!
duh duh duh duhn duh
I can't get no,
satisfaction!"
Random lyric quotes. ; )
God bless,
Ellen |
